Aneva Derma is a collagen drink formulated by Aneva Nutra based in UK, but manufactured by the Allergy Group who are based in US.

Aneva Derma was one of the finalists for My Face My Body Awards in 2014, which is a reputable competition in the UK. As we have reviewed most of the collagen drinks out there, Anema Derma is a natural progression so check out this review and how we have rated it in each of the most important categories.

Aneva Derma is one of the more expensive collagen powder based products we have reviewed up to now, costing in the region of £110 for 1 month’s supply (this is about £3.60 a day). This is about three times as expensive as the industry’s average price for collagen powders, so just for the price, we will have to reduce the mark it gets in this category.

Aneva Derma has been featured in the Daily Mail and The Sun, and we can imagine that costs a lot of money, so we are pretty sure some of that cost has been passed on to the consumer.

One of the criteria we think is quite important is that products would have money back guarantee in case you find them ineffective, or are unsatisfied with it for some other reason. Unfortunately, none of the sellers we found online selling Aneva Derma offer a money back guarantee, so this is another reason why we have to reduce the Value mark we have given Aneva Derma.

A daily dosage of Aneva Derma contains 10.000 mg of collagen, which is the ideal amount of collagen we advise to consume every day in order to maximise its effects, so the product scores the maximum amount of points in this category.

Aneva Derma is also backed by clinical studies what show a 95% absorption rate, so this collagen drink should have no trouble being absorbed by the body. The product is also rated to be at around 3000 Daltons, which is significantly better than the Dalton values found in other similar products.

About the study. Participants (aged between 35 and 55) were taking hydrolysed collagen supplements for 8 weeks. At the end of that period, the effects of the group were compared to those participants who were taking a placebo at the time. The control group didn’t show any signs of change on their skin, but the other participants showed a significant improvement in terms of skin moisture and the youth of their skin.

Because Aneva Derma comes in the form of a powder and is not a ready-made drink as we prefer here, we decided to mark it down slightly in this category. This is because ready-made drinks take less time to prepare compared to powders, which makes them more convenient. However, the powder in Aneva Derma does tend to dissolve quickly, so it’s not that big of a drawback in this particular case.

The grade is also bumped up by the fact that a daily serving of Aneva Derma also contains 210 mg of hyaluronic acid, an ingredient that hydrates the skin and improves its elasticity. Also, there are additional valuable nutrients thrown in the mix, consisting of vitamin C, green tea extract, grape tea extract, and alpha lipoic acid.

Let’s quickly list the benefits of those ingredients:

• Vitamin C (Strengthens your immune system, prevents skin wrinkling, helps prevent the development of cancer, eye disease, and various cardiovascular diseases. All in all, it improves your general health.)

• Grape tea extract (Helps treat several cardiovascular conditions, stabilises cholesterol levels in your body, reduces swelling, and is rich in antioxidants.)
• Alpha lipoic acid (Helps treat type-2 diabetes, helps reduce the symptoms of peripheral neuropathy, is rich in antioxidants, and also helps you lose weight.)
• Hyaluronic acid (Hydrates the skin, improves its elasticity, has anti-ageing properties, and also strengthens your joints and muscles.)

 

It also tastes pleasantly with a small hint towards vanilla.

We like to see manufacturers taking some responsibility when it comes to “green” packaging. So the motto of “less is more” applies to this category. Aneva Derma comes in a single plastic container, so the produced packaging materials are minimal and we are happy to give Aneva Derma a good grade in this section.

After going through the ratings this product scored in each of the main categories, we are very impressed overall, but we do have some minor objections. To be clear, this product seems to be very effective, probably among the most potent collagen drinks out there. On the other hand, it’s rather pricey, and it would be great if it came as a ready-made drink.
